After breakfast, we will depart to Merzouga via Ifrane. Our route will take us through Azrou and its fascinating Cedar Forest. We will continue through the Ziz Valley and the Tafilalet region until we reach Merzouga. Here, we will mount our camels for a pleasant walk that will take us to our nomadic camp located in the heart of the dunes. We will spend the night under the starry sky in traditional Berber tents, where we will be served a typical dinner.
After breakfast, we will explore Merzouga to immerse ourselves in nomadic life. We will visit the Khamlia Village, known for its inhabitants of African descent and their renowned Gnawa music. We will continue to the Mifiss mines and admire the imposing desert dunes, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy mint tea with Berber nomads. We will conclude our exploration at the oasis of Tissardmine. At the end of the day, we will return to the riad for a leisurely lunch. The evening will be free to relax and enjoy the peace of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay at the riad.
After breakfast, we will depart for Fes, driving through the enchanting Ziz Valley. We will make a stop to admire the view and take some photos. We will continue on to Midelt, where we will stop for a relaxing lunch. We will then resume our journey to Ifrane, known as “The Switzerland of Morocco,” and make a brief stop in Azrou to explore its charming cedar grove and observe the cute little monkeys that live there. We will arrive in Fes late in the evening, where we will settle in for the night.
