l early morning, we will pick you up directly from your riad in Fes. We will depart for the Middle Atlas, passing through Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland,” and Azrou. We will make a stop in the cedar forest to visit the Cedre Gouraud tree, where you will have the opportunity to spot the monkeys that live in the area. We will continue south, passing through various towns and having the opportunity to observe nomads living in tents along the way. You will also admire the spectacular volcanic rock formations.
Our next stop will be in Midelt, where you will enjoy a relaxing lunch. Afterwards, we will continue the journey by crossing the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass (1907 meters) while enjoying the breathtaking views. We will also travel through the Ziz Gorge and pass through a spectacular tunnel. Near Errachidia, you will have the opportunity to admire the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil, with its turquoise waters. We will continue to Erfoud, where we will stop for a panoramic view of the Aoufous palm groves along the Ziz River.
We will finally arrive in Erfoud and, after crossing a short off-road section, reach the hotel located at the foot of the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay in the riad.
We will leave for the desert, crossing the two oases of Merzouga. Along the way we will visit the nomadic camp and the village of Khamlia, known as the “village of the blacks,” famous for its traditional music. We will continue to the Mifiss mines and cross the desert highlands, where we will have the opportunity to meet Berber nomads and visit the Tissardmine oasis.
We will arrive around 3 pm, in time to leave with the camel caravan and watch the magnificent sunset over the dunes. We will spend the night in a wilderness oasis, about a two-hour walk into the heart of the desert. Dinner will be served at the camp, and for the night we will stay overnight in tents.
On the third day, we will head to Ouarzazate, passing through the spectacular Todra Gorge, Boumalne du Dades, El-Kelaa M’Gouna and Skoura. We will begin the day with a visit to the Todra Gorges, where you will have time to explore this extraordinary landscape on foot and admire the impressive rock walls.
We will continue to Boumalne du Dades, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy a local lunch. After lunch, we will continue our journey to El-Kelaa M’Gouna, famous for its Valley of Roses, and we will pass through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and the oasis of Skoura.
We will finally arrive in Ouarzazate, where we will admire the Kasbah of Taourirt, built by the Glaoui dynasty. The day will end with dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or Riad.
We will travel to Ouarzazate, passing through Boumalne du Dades, El-Kelaa M’Gouna and Skoura. En route, you will have the opportunity to admire the breathtaking views of the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, the Valley of Roses and the oasis of Skoura.
Arriving in Ouarzazate, we will make a stop to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, built by the Glaoui dynasty. We will then continue to the village of Aït Benhaddou, where we will break for lunch and have time to explore this fascinating kasbah, famous for its exotic architecture.
In the afternoon, we will cross the Tizi N’Tichka pass, located at an altitude of 2260 meters. You will have the opportunity to take photos and enjoy the spectacular views of the high Atlas Mountains, lined with picturesque Berber villages.
At the end of the day, we will arrive in Marrakech and transfer you to the hotel of your choice.
