We will depart immediately in the direction of Chefchaouen, crossing the Rif mountains and the town of Tetouan. We will arrive in Chefchaouen, the famous “blue city,” an enchanting town located at the foot of the Rif Mountains.The medina of Chefchaouen retains its Andalusian feel, with lovely local craft stores, narrow streets painted blue, cozy cafes and typical restaurants that will charm you from the first moment. We will stop for a relaxing lunch, then continue on to Fes, where we will spend the night.
After a hearty breakfast, we will depart south through Ifrane and Azrou, passing through the enchanting Middle Atlas Mountains. En route, we will make a stop in the beautiful Cedar Forest to observe the friendly monkeys that inhabit it. We will continue to Midelt, admiring the spectacular Gorges and the Ziz Valley, carved out of volcanic rock. Continuing south, we will explore the variety of landscapes that lead us closer and closer to the desert areas. After a relaxing lunch, we will arrive at Erfoud, Rissani and finally Merzouga, a small village at the foot of the golden dunes of Erg-Chebbi. After enjoying a mint tea, we will begin an adventurous camel ride through the towering dunes to watch the sunset. We will end the day at a Berber camp in the desert, where a traditional dinner awaits. The evening will continue around the fire with Berber music, singing and dancing, surrounded by an unparalleled starry sky.
Wake up early to witness the magnificent sunrise in the desert. After this exciting experience, we will ride our camels back to the hotel. There, after a refreshing shower, a rich breakfast will be served. We will then continue toward Tinghir, eventually arriving at the spectacular Dades Valley and Gorges, where we will spend the night.
Departure in the morning, crossing the Dades Valley until we reach the enchanting Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, where we will stop for lunch. We will continue through Kalaat M’Gouna, famous for rose cultivation and its annual festival, and Skoura, known for its palm groves and orchards. We will travel along the “Route of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach Ouarzazate, the “Moroccan Hollywood,” with a visit to the Atlas Film Studios, the set of famous films such as *Lawrence of Arabia* and *The Sheltering Sky*. After lunch at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will continue toward Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass, the highest point of the journey at 2,260 meters. There will be an opportunity to visit an argan oil cooperative along the way. Arrival in Marrakech in the late evening.
